Management Tools

Bayley Construction uses management tools as effective methods to distribute information and to control and organize projects. We are the main “conduit” of information flow and must be the most organized part of the project team. Our Project Management database, built on the Microsoft Access© platform, allows us to track and link all information processes and systems together. With this system, nothing is ever “forgotten” and all issues, revisions and questions are properly documented and dealt with expediently. The following project logs are management tools linked within the database and are used by our teams:

  • RFI Log
  • Cost Control Log
  • Submittal Log and Submittal Forecast Listing by CSI Division
  • Material Procurement and Delivery Schedules
  • Subcontract Buyout Log for Each Trade
  • Rental Equipment Log for General Conditions and Self-Performed Work
  • Biweekly Project Management Meeting Agenda and Minutes

Other Management tools within our Project Management processes and job field management:

  • CPM Schedule and Updates
  • Eight-Week Short Interval Schedules
  • Subcontract Paperwork Status Report (Indicates status of insurance certificates/ endorsements; subcontract agreement; bonds; signed and executed sub-change orders; subcontract close-out documents.)
  • Project Superintendent and Project Engineer Daily Reports
  • Complete Project Safety Program and Site Specific Safety Manual (Administered by our Regional Safety Engineer in conjunction with our Corporate Safety Officer. This includes all training, forms and reporting systems, which comply with or exceed CAL/OSHA safety procedures.)
  • Overhead trade (mechanical, fire protection, plumbing, electrical, acoustical, drywall) coordination meetings before, during and after shop drawing phase to assure all trades are coordinated to avoid conflicts and claims that usually arise in this area where each trade is trying to establish their “zone” to install their materials.

“…..Under difficult circumstances, Bayley exhibited a professionalism and resourcefulness to get the job done. Your ability to work with our Mall Management team in minimizing conflicts between construction activity and the public was impressive and indicative of your past experiences and achievements…”
